Put simply, Agents are entities crafted to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. For instance, they can effortlessly book accommodations on the Amalfi Coast through a simple chatbot interaction or arrange for grocery deliveries that align with your dietary preferences—all with minimal user input.

These Agents are powered by four core components: an underlying model, memory, tooling, and often, a knowledge base. While there has been significant focus on models (like Chat GPT), memory, and knowledge bases, we believe the tooling aspect, or function calling, has been undervalued by many. This feature is vital for creating Agents with enhanced capabilities, enabling them to interact with external platforms.

At Agentive, our initial goal is to democratize the creation of Agents. We aim to empower individuals, particularly those without a development background, to easily craft agents using the Assistants API. This is made possible through a user-friendly interface, which includes essential deployments to platforms like Voiceflow.

Looking ahead, we will concentrate on refining the management of agents and the development of advanced tooling. Agentive will soon introduce a selection of pre-built tools and templates for rapid and effortless integration. This will be complemented by a visually intuitive dashboard offering a detailed overview of your agents' performance metrics and analytics.
